Charles E. Bugg

In 2003 Dr. Bugg started performing robotic surgery and has now completed over 1,800 cases. Currently, he performs seven to ten robotic prostatectomy cases a week. He is a member of both the American Urological Association and The Society of Laparoendoscropic Surgeons. His clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery for prostate and kidney cancer. Dr. Bugg is the recipient of the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Montague Boyd Essay Contest and the 2002 Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award.

Dr. Bugg graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed two years of general surgery and four years of urology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Bugg is board certified.
