W. Courtenay Renneker

Dr. Renneker graduated from Emory University with an A.B. degree and became a certified medical technologist at the Baptist hospitals prior to entering medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, where he obtained a degree as Doctor of Medicine. He completed an internship in surgery and medical medicine and then served two years in the U.S. Army Medical Corp with one year being in the Republic of Vietnam. He was given the Combat Medic’s Badge and the Bronze Star during his two years of service in the Armed Forces. He came back and served a Surgery residency and then a Urological residency. Subsequently, he has practiced general urology at Baptist Medical Center - Princeton since October 1971. He served as President of the Medical Staff at Princeton.

Dr. Renneker is a member of the Jefferson County Medical Society, Alabama State Medical Society, Fellow of American College of Surgeons, American Board of Urology, and Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association. He left a practice of surgery and office urology to begin a practice of office urology here at Urology Centers of Alabama, P.C.

Dr. Renneker is board certified.
