
Dr. Thomas E. Moody
Dr. Thomas E. Moody is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. He received a Master of Science in surgery degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency in urology at the University of Virginia Hospital.
He is an active member of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the Jefferson County Medical Society and the American Urological Association.
He is a recipient of the Mary Lou Wright Distinguished Leadership Award presented by Senator Jeff Sessions for his exceptional public service and dedication in the fight against prostate cancer.
In May 2009 Senator Linda Coleman chairperson for the State of Alabama Senate Health Committee presented Dr. Moody with a resolution commending him for his tireless work screening men free across the state of Alabama for prostate cancer.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association honored Dr. Moody at the Coaches and Athletic Directors’ conference in Montgomery with a plaque commending him for his work with the coaches in Alabama.
The University of Alabama Medical School in 2009 selected Dr. Moody as “Role Model of the Year” for his travels across the state raising awareness about prostate cancer.
Certified by the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Moody’s clinical interests include urinary incontinence, prostate disease, interstitial cystitis, and stone management. He is an author of numerous peer-reviewed articles in the urological literature.
